TNT Express wins Bosch Supplier Award once again - Bosch Group prizes express service's quality and reliability

Publish Date : 5 July 2007 at 14:00 CET - Amsterdam, TNT Express has won the Bosch Supplier Award in the "Logistic Service Provider" category for the second time in a row. Bosch awarded the prize to TNT for its excellent performance regarding quality of service, reliability and pricing. Other criteria were communication, cooperation and readiness for continuous improvement. The globally operating Bosch Group's prize was awarded to the whole TNT Express division.

'Global expansion is only possible for us with strong partners', Franz Fehrenbach, head of Bosch's management board, confirmed during the award ceremony. 'That is why we have opted for an internationally focused procurement and a global supplier strategy.'

Marie-Christine Lombard, Group Managing Director of TNT Express said: 'We are honoured to again receive this recognition for business excellence. The Award emphasises that our customers look for the very strength that TNT Express stands for: the same high quality standards globally.'

TNT had already won the supplier prize, which is awarded every two years, in 2005. Now, Bosch is rewarding the express service provider for its cooperation during the past two years. John Willems, Global Account Director TNT Express and Dieter Schwaderer, Senior General Manager Coordination & Projects TNT Express Germany, accepted the prize during a function at the State Gallery in Stuttgart on 4th July 2007. 'Receiving this award from a leading international technology group confirms our endeavour for quality and business excellence in every field. We at TNT Express see ourselves as a strictly customer-focused, premium service provider and we are very glad to see that Bosch appreciate our quality and commitment', said Schwaderer.

TNT Express's uncompromising focus on its customers' needs and requirements has been impartially certified before: at the beginning of 2007, TNT Express won the European Business Award in the 'Customer Focus' category. The renowned prize is supported by a number of well-known organisations from all over Europe - including the Wall Street Journal Europe, Siemens, Grey EMEA, Société Générale, AXA and CMS, an alliance of major European law firms. TNT Express was named 'most customer focused business in Europe' because, according to the jury, it 'sets an example in focusing on the customer as the centre of its business activities and on making exceptionally efficient use of resources in order to fulfil its customers' needs.'

Bosch is awarding the prize that is offered to suppliers across the globe, for the eleventh time since 1987. The prize is awarded every two years. This year, it was awarded in five categories to a total of 47 companies from 14 countries.
